For the most secure data protection, we utilize EVault, a complete online data backup and recovery system. Our system provides a reliable cost-effective method to protect critical data using your existing Internet connection. At any time, data can be restored to multiple systems, including production and recovery systems over wide area networks. The system is automated and secure, simplifying the entire backup process.
The service is capable of backing up many different operating systems such as IBM iSeries/Power (AS/400), Unisys Clearpath, Sun Solaris, VMware, Microsoft products (Exchange, SQL) and many more.
Backup times are significantly reduced due to sophisticated algorithms. After the initial backup, only new and changed blocks are sent to the vault. File compression can be as much as 10:1 depending on the operating system and file type. Data is compressed and encrypted during backup (or decrypted and decompressed during restore) locally on your system before it leaves the firewall, and remains encrypted during transmission and storage in our state-of-the-art data center. This is referred to as End to End Data Security, the most secure way to keep your organizational data safe.
Our qualified engineers oversee the purchase, installation, and configuration of highly reliable storage arrays and infrastructure which comprise the vault hardware and network communications. We also manage and maintain the health of the backup data, the hardware and software on the vaults, and respond to any management or client requests.
For complete flexibility, your network administrator can control retention policies (daily, unlimited), encryption algorithms, bandwidth usage, and backup frequency.
