Lance Thompson is the founder and President of Baseline Data Services with 30 years of business experience within the IT marketplace. Starting his career with IBM in the late 70’s, Lance went on to start, develop, and grow multiple companies supplying computer hardware, software, bank operations services, disaster recovery services, and more. Today those successful experiences have culminated into a large client base of satisfied customers, an extraordinary team of engineers and a 100% success rate.

David Loy, Vice President Operations

David brings significant experience to the Baseline management team. Prior experiences as Software Configuration Management Engineer at Motorola and Thomson Inc. prepared him for his current position. His “hands on” approach to facility development and managing a professional staff are main components of Baseline’s success. In addition to designing technical solutions, coordinating audits and regulatory compliance, or assisting with EVault data storage, David has the acumen to direct tasks at hand to the appropriate engineers for the most efficient resolution.

Jeremy Howard, National Account Executive

Since joining Baseline in 2003, Jeremy Howard has developed significant new business and has successfully managed many current accounts and relationships. He understands the vital correlation between individual client’s needs and their IT requirements, and how they have to be managed in a coordinated way. This methodology is derived from Howard’s past professional experience as a financial analyst and from his academics at Central Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Corporate Finance.

Ryan Thompson, National Account Executive

Ryan Thompson joined Baseline Data Services, LLC, in 2008 as a national account executive. He has Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from John Carroll University. Thompson has an undeniable eye for detail – thoroughly analyzing each transaction based on the complete understanding of customers’ requirements. As a world traveler, Thompson has found an appreciation for adaptivity, and applies the lessons he took away from his abroad experience into his everyday business ethic.

Matt Torres, National Account Executive

With a passion for achievement, Matthew Torres was recruited from Michigan State University in 2006 as an executive assistant. While working for Baseline as an undergraduate, Torres also mastered the art of time management as co-captain of the MSU Swim Team – leading his team in the Big10 conference. Torres graduated from MSU in 2009 and joined Baseline full-time as a national account executive. He strives to understand the customer’s issues and develop technical proposals that directly address those needs.

Paul McVicker, Communications & Infrastructure

Paul’s military background, his no-nonsense approach to security, and his management of the communication infrastructure for Baseline, give company management, auditors, and customers the secure feeling that their sensitive data is in good hands. Paul’s experience as a Network Engineer and Security specialist within private industry and the US Marines uniquely qualifies him for this position. His attention to detail in the design and implementation of Baseline’s security is second to none. Customers appreciate his calm demeanor and confidence in setting up communication strategies for tests and actual disasters.

Chris Todnem, Production Engineer

Bill Cox, Production Engineer

Bill’s background is extensive in the area of Technical Support on a wide variety of systems, which include IBM and Microsoft platforms. His strength is working directly with the customer to resolve issues. Currently, Bill manages recovery testing on five separate IBM iSeries systems and offers support to Disaster Recovery, Online Data Protection, and Document Imaging clients. Methodical persistence and a customer focused drive is perhaps what describe Bill’s approach the best. Documenting procedures, results, and audits are definite strengths of this technical professional.

Dale brings a well-rounded and seasoned professional’s perspective. His broad range of experience, within the IT field and in general business, allows him to approach issues from multiple sides to discern the root causes of issues. Having built and managed networks in non-profit, educational, and profit-seeking environments contributes to his ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and strong customer/vendor relationships. Dale’s adaptability, eagerness for learning, forward thinking, and interest in resilient infrastructure will help Baseline stay on top of current and emerging technologies and apply them to continually improve efficiency.

Eric Freuchtel, Production Engineer

Eric works with our customers to leverage our VMware environment and EMC storage arrays to best support their Disaster Recovery needs. Before joining the Baseline team, Eric performed system administration, project management, and IT consultant roles. Eric is excellent at multi-tasking, keeping many tasks in order to support concurrent tests and deliver project goals. Along with his current responsibilities he is designated as the floater with a “Jack of All Trades” title as he continues to learn more about the specifics of Disaster Recovery from the other senior engineers.

Rose Swanson
Office Manager
With a wealth of experience assisting business executives, Rose is a central point of contact within Baseline. She has been with the company since 2007, and her list of responsibilities is long and diverse. In addition to reception, accounting and office management responsibilities, Rose assists with customer tours and test schedules. She also maintains an accurate log of all disaster recovery backup media shipments and receipts. If there is ever a question on who to contact within Baseline, Rose will help direct you to the right person.
